When Students for Concealed Carry at the University of South Alabama organized an empty holster protest with the goal of highlighting the school’s unconstitutional policy, the activism event was so successful the students were charged with violating the school weapons policy.
When this unconstitutional treatment garnered national attention, the school was forced to drop the charges and offer an official apology for blatantly violating students’ rights.
As a result of Students for Concealed Carry at the University of South Alabama and their empty holster protest, the school is now closer to eliminating their unconstitutional policy which denies students the right to defend themselves.
