Katie Ross is the Leadership Institute’s Regional Field Coordinator for Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas.
Katie grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and has been interested in politics, government, and United States history for as long as she can remember.
When she visited Washington, D.C. in eighth grade, she knew right away she wanted to work there one day. The beauty of the monuments and the history around every corner captivated her.
In 2018, Katie interned on two Illinois State Representative campaigns. In these roles, she worked closely with candidates, talked with voters, and attended community events. This experience solidified her interest in politics.
Katie graduated from Saint Louis University in 2023 with a B.A. in political science with additional studies in political journalism and Catholic studies. She was a member of both the College Republicans and Students for Life chapters throughout her time in Saint Louis.
After graduation, she served as the Leadership Insitute’s Field Representative for Illinois.
