Dena Espenscheid

Dena Espenscheid has over twenty years of professional political and policy experience.  She has held a variety of positions in public policy organizations and political campaigns.  During her first paid campaign, Dena was the Eastern Field Director for Vote Yes For Life, the nation’s first statewide pro-life ballot initiative in 2006.  In her last paid campaign, she served as Field Director for Donald J. Trump for President in Virginia, West Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland (2015-2016).  She has also been a paid state and federal lobbyist and volunteered on campaigns as small as the school board. 

Dena joined Leadership Institute in 2016 as the Director of Grassroots Coalitions.  She has been training activists across the country to win.  In 2022, she initiated a new training division, which tailors Leadership Institute trainings to the needs of social conservative special interest groups. As the Director of Pro-Life Programs, she works with pro-life organizations and their allies to build coalitions, train their volunteers, and win elections where life is an issue.

In her free time, Dena enjoys gardening and endures jogging in Quantico, Virginia, where she resides.
