About Callista Mendoza

Callista grew up in Southern California and pursued a B.A. in Government with an Emphasis in State and Local Public Policy at Grand Canyon University. During her time there, she was actively involved in various leadership roles, including serving as the founding President of the school’s chapter of the Network of Enlightened Women (NeW). She also had the opportunity to serve as a Senator in the student body government and as the VP of Operations for GCU’s Honors College. In addition, she interned for Grand Canyon Education and proudly served as the President of the largest chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) in the country.

In the Fall of 2021, she was selected as the North Texas Field Representative for the Leadership Institute, where she had the privilege to work with aspiring leaders. After completing her contract, she briefly worked as a Student Development Specialist with Young Americans of Liberty, directly under the Vice President of Campus.

Callista then returned to the Leadership Institute as the Regional Field Coordinator, overseeing Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, and Maryland. Currently, she has since transitioned back to the North Texas Territory as the Regional Field Coordinator.

She is deeply passionate about public policy, empowering students, and fostering leadership. Her goal is to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders. Callista is always looking to make new connections and work together to make a positive impact!
