Welcome to the School Board Leaders Program
The Leadership Institute’s School Board Leaders Program (SBLP) is a comprehensive initiative to empower conservative school board candidates, and members with the skills, knowledge, and strategies to challenge the public education status quo. The mission is to promote excellence in governance, restore accountability in public schools, and foster transformative change through effective leadership.
- To train and equip conservatives to run for, win, and govern effectively on school boards across America.
- Mobilize parents, and community members to support candidates, and conservative school board members by coalition building.
- Support systems to establish lasting, positive change in American K-12 education.

Did you know that in 2024, only 31% of all fourth graders in the United States scored at or above a proficient level in reading, according to the National Center for Educational Statistics? This just proves that the American education system is failing children… so how do we stop this “literacy emergency?”

January – America’s Founding Genius: How a New Idea Changed the World: Tiffany Hoben and David Alred will take a compelling look at how the Founders created a system unlike any that came before it.Themes: human liberty, constitutional design, sacrifice, early American education, civic virtue.
February – Turning Back Tyranny: Lessons From Socialism, Totalitarianism, and the Battles for Freedom: Ken Pope will guide us through a powerful exploration of the 20th century’s greatest ideological threats and why America must remember them to remain free.Themes: socialism and communism vs. liberty, global history, national courage, why we teach these lessons.

Leadership Institute champions educational freedom, and opportunity for all students. Empowering parents to choose the best path for their children, be that public, charter, parochial, private, or homeschool, is the best way to meet the needs of each student.
The SBLP’s mission is to train, and equip commonsense conservatives to win, and effectively govern on school boards across America. We mobilize parents, and community members to support commonsense conservative candidates, and elected officials, driving lasting, positive change in American K-12 education.
America is facing a literacy crisis; approximately 66% of fourth and eighth graders struggle with reading and math. The Leadership Institute’s School Board Leaders Program is committed to ensuring every child can succeed across all areas of study.
