Colton is a distinguished graduate of the Leadership Institute's 2019 intern class.  Prior to his time at LI, Colton served in congressional offices as an intern and graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan University.  Since LI, Colton has gone on to work at the Heritage Foundation and returned to the US House of Representatives before finally settling at The American Conservative where he is now the Director of Operations of TAC.

As an Operations Director Colton oversees all aspects of print and media production and distribution.  This includes but is not limited to budgets, staffing, working with authors and editors as well as organization leadership, and much more.
