Chance Costello is a Senior Legislative Assistant to Sen. John Thune specializing in Transportation Policy.

Chance also served on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation Majority Staff, focusing on surface transportation issues. Before joining Committee staff, Chance worked in the oil and gas industry while also completing his undergraduate coursework. Chance received his B.S. in geological engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and his master’s degree in energy policy from Johns Hopkins University.
