Alex Meyer became politically involved in fall 2014 midterm elections.  He began volunteering for Congressman Rod Blum’s campaign after being recruited by the LI trained Youth Coordinator for Blum. After the success of that election, Alex earned the opportunity to intern for Congressman Blum on Capitol Hill.

When he returned to school in Iowa, he headed the effort of Students for Rand at Loras College and the Dubuque, Iowa area.

During the 2016 election cycle, Alex ended up briefly working in Florida for Congressman Ron DeSantis’ U.S. Senate race. After his time there, he moved to Florida’s panhandle to become the Field Director for Rebekah Bydlak’s U.S. Congressional primary race. Once the late Florida primaries ended, Alex moved out to Colorado to become the Youth Director for Darryl Glenn’s U.S. Senate campaign.

Currently Alex is finishing his last semester at Loras College where he will graduate with a degree in Public Relations in May 2017.
