Max Cunningham

Max Cunningham was born in Colorado and lived there for twelve years before his family moved to Connecticut. He graduated summa cum laude from Liberty University in summer 2024 with two bachelors degrees, in history and political science.

Max became politically aware during the 2016 presidential election cycle. He became convinced of the merits of conservative political philosophy, which was deepened by his faith and his study of history. In high school and college, Max attended multiple TeenPact events which refined his understanding of the public policy process.

Max began his career as the Leadership Institute’s National Field Program intern in Fall 2024. He went on to work as a grassroots activist with the National Right to Work Committee, before starting his current position at the Leadership Institute.

In his free time, Max enjoys following current events, reading, and watching movies and TV. Max also enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and hunting.
