Anna Hanger DeJarnette

Anna Hanger DeJarnette serves as Director of Partnerships at the Leadership Institute, where she leads major-gift strategy and works to strengthen relationships with the Institute’s philanthropic partners.

With more than 15 years of experience in fundraising and development, Anna has contributed to and led efforts that generated more than $70 million in current and deferred philanthropic gifts, including major, planned, and estate gifts. Her expertise includes major gifts, planned giving, development strategy, donor stewardship, and building long-term philanthropic relationships. Anna has built planned giving programs and legacy societies at two organizations and has held development leadership roles at nonprofits ranging from a $2 million organization to a national organization with approximately $90 million in annual revenue. She has worked closely with donors, boards, and executive leadership to strengthen fundraising programs and advance organizational priorities.

Anna began her fundraising career at the Leadership Institute, serving as a Development Associate and Planned Giving Officer from 2004 to 2006. She later returned to LI as a faculty member, teaching major-gifts fundraising, before returning to the organization in 2026 as Director of Partnerships.

Anna is a lifelong soccer player, loves to travel, and stays active keeping up with her two boys.
