Practical AI for Mission-Driven Women
ChatGPT and Claude Basics, Projects, and Everyday Work
Your organization has work waiting and limited staff time. This hands-on class introduces ChatGPT and Claude and shows you how to use them for real organizational assignments. No technical background is required.
Participants learn to write effective prompts, organize ongoing work in AI Projects, and use ChatGPT Work and Claude’s Cowork capabilities to develop materials they can review and use. Examples include preparing meeting packets, organizing events, and turning scattered notes into an action plan.
The class includes guidance on protecting confidential information and checking AI-generated claims. You remain responsible for the accuracy and quality of the finished work.
Suggested format: Two-hour introductory workshop with guided practice.
What participants will learn:
• AI basics. Understand what these tools can do, where they make mistakes, and how to give instructions that specify the goal, source material, and desired output.
• Projects in ChatGPT and Claude. Create a dedicated space for recurring work using organizational background, reference documents, and instructions about your preferred writing style.
• Completing work with AI. Follow a demonstration that turns an assignment and supporting files into a usable deliverable. Practice reviewing the result and requesting specific revisions.
• Responsible use. Verify sources, recognize unsupported claims, and decide which information is appropriate to upload.
Audience-specific examples:
Pro-life organizations
Develop volunteer orientation materials, prepare a board meeting packet, or organize a community resource directory using verified information.
Women’s groups and Federation of Republican Women clubs
Prepare chapter meeting materials, build an event schedule with assigned responsibilities, or create an officer transition guide from existing records.
Hands-on activity:
Choose one recurring responsibility. Set up an AI Project with sample materials and produce a first draft of something you need for that responsibility.
Participants leave with a starter prompt guide and an initial Project they can continue using.
