David Rand at University of Alaska - Anchorage

David Rand is the founding president and CEO of the Land Liberty Movement,

a 501(c)(3) nonprofit he launched in March that is rapidly gaining traction

nationwide. He spent years fighting the government on taxes, regulations,

and passing campus free speech protections before realizing the biggest

battle was hiding in plain sight: zoning laws, permit bureaucracies, and local

gatekeepers blocking the American Dream.

With more than 15 years of experience in professional activism, elections,

direct and grassroots lobbying, media, and consulting, Rand has contributed

to 32 pro-freedom legislative achievements from outside the official process.

In his home state of Montana, he helped lead the Montana Miracle, a wave of

free-market housing reforms that became a national model. Through Build

the Dream, his national campaign, Rand is working to restore property rights

and make the American Dream buildable again for every American willing to

pursue it.
