Laurel Libby at University of Tennessee at Knoxville

State Representative Laurel Libby is currently serving her second term in the Maine House of Representatives and is a member of the Taxation Committee.

During her first term, Rep. Libby was a strong voice against the Covid lockdowns, advocating for the legislature to return to work and strip the governor of her dictatorship powers. She was removed from her committee after entering the capital without a mask in May 2021. A Registered Nurse with 15 years of experience, Rep. Libby has been a leader in the efforts against the Covid vaccine mandates that crippled Maine’s healthcare infrastructure.

After realizing the status quo establishment had no interest in advancing liberty in Maine, Rep. Libby co-founded The Dinner Table in 2021, a grassroots Political Action Committee with over 900 members in the 2022 election cycle, dedicated to the principles of limited government, free enterprise, personal responsibility, and individual liberty. The goal of TDT is to stop the onslaught against individual rights by winning a conservative majority and beginning to make liberty win in Maine.

In February 2023, Rep. Libby founded Speak Up for LIFE, a grassroots organization with a mission to educate and empower Mainers to speak up on behalf of LIFE in the face of legislation allowing for abortion at any time, for any reason. Speak Up for LIFE mobilized thousands of Maine people in the fight against late-term abortion, including a historic public hearing that lasted over 19 hours.

A nurse, small business owner, and mother, Rep. Libby resides in Auburn, Maine, with her husband, John, and their children. An avid runner, she enjoys spending her time off with family at the ocean, playing board games, or reading a good book.
