The Leadership Institute’s (LI) mission is to increase the number and effectiveness of conservative activists and leaders in the public policy process. The Institute identifies, recruits, trains, and places conservatives in government, politics, and the media.

ABOUT | Leadership Institute at Maryland National Right to Life Convention.

The Maryland Right to Life Convention centers on the theme of a “Rising Tide,” reflecting the growing momentum of the pro-life movement across the state. A rising tide suggests action, something active, expanding, and impossible to ignore, and highlights the renewed energy of Marylanders committed to protecting human life. This convention aims to help usher in a sea of change by inspiring participants to continue touching hearts, changing minds, and saving lives.

The convention will also serve as a call for unity among those who care about the protection of human life. Advocates from across Maryland, including the right-to-life chapters, student activists, pastors and clergy, pregnancy help centers, political candidates, sidewalk counselors, elected officials, church ministries, and more. These groups will come together for a shared purpose. By setting aside past disagreements and focusing on common values, the event will help participants rediscover what unites them and move forward together.

The tone of the convention will be positive and hopeful, focusing on what the movement stands for: protecting life. This message is reflected in the convention’s heart-shaped logo featuring a mother and child and the sun, symbolizing love and the full cycle of life. The Leadership Institute will also conduct a training at the convention to equip participants with practical skills to more effectively advocate for life and strengthen the movement across Maryland.
