Faith Elwonger - Pro-Life Activist
John Bruchalski - Founder, Tepeyac OBGYN
Faith Elwonger grew up in Plano, Texas and graduated from Tarleton State University after studying Biology. She then went on to get her masters in Animal Science.
Faith has always been inherently pro-life, as she saw the sadness that miscarriage brought to the people closest to her at an early age. She came to truly understand the depths of protecting preborn children and their parents after her best friend in college experienced an unplanned pregnancy which ended in abortion. Since then, she has been determined to abolish abortion and lead others to cherish life regardless of circumstance.
Faith co-founded her Students for Life group in 2020 at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. The following year, Faith was mentored through Students for Life’s William Wilberforce Fellowship.
Faith currently resides in Austin, Texas and serves the Pro-Life Generation as Students for Life’s Texas Regional Coordinator. This work includes growing and serving Students for Life campus groups in Texas and Oklahoma by organizing campus displays, rapid response to pro-abortion events, equipping students to join the Standing With You campaign, and maintaining communication with pro-life groups in the community and across the region.
Dr. John Bruchalski, M.D., FACOG, is an obstetrician-gynecologist, Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Pro-Life medical leader, and founder of Tepeyac OB/GYN and Divine Mercy Care. During his medical training and early career, Dr. Bruchalski practiced the full range of reproductive medicine, including abortion. A series of profound spiritual experiences—most notably pilgrimages to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Medjugorje—led to a deep conversion of heart. These encounters, along with pivotal moments during his residency, compelled him to fully embrace the dignity of every human life and reject the practice of abortion.
In 1994, Dr. Bruchalski founded Tepeyac OB/GYN, one of the nation’s first and largest fully pro-life obstetrics and gynecology practices, providing comprehensive women’s healthcare rooted in life-affirming principles. He later co-founded Divine Mercy Care, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting pro-life healthcare, supporting charitable medical care, and forming future physicians in Christ-centered medicine. Today, Dr. Bruchalski continues to serve patients, mentor medical professionals, and speak nationally on integrating faith, compassion, and excellence in healthcare.
