The Advanced Art of Public Speaking

ABOUT | LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

The Leadership Institute’s (LI) mission is to increase the number and effectiveness of conservative activists and leaders in the public policy process. The Institute identifies, recruits, trains, and places conservatives in government, politics, and the media.

ABOUT | The Advanced Art of Public Speaking

If you attended The Art of Public Speaking workshop or have experience speaking in public, this workshop will double down on skill development to take your public speaking to the next level. Warren Buffett encouraged all his leaders to “Get very comfortable with public speaking, whether you like it or not. It’s an asset that will last you 50 years, or a liability that will last you 50 years. It’s a necessary skill.” Public speaking is a skill that you should always be working on.

In this 3-hour interactive and fun workshop, Kim Hemsley will review the core principles of effective public speaking: connecting with your audience, structuring an impactful message, excellence in delivery, and growing in being authentic.

Each participant will be filmed practicing in front of the group, and be given in-depth tailored feedback. You will undergo several rounds of practice and feedback, and each receive a professional recording of your session.

Come ready to participate and have fun!

*Class size is limited to 6 in order to maximize one-on-one time with Kim.
