Gates Garcia at University of Florida

Gates is the Founder & CEO of We The People Media LLC, and host of "We The People with Gates Garcia," a podcast that celebrates pro-America athletes, musicians, actors, entertainers, authors, and business leaders. 

On his podcast, Gates tackles the most pressing and timely cultural and economic issues facing America today. With a focus on faith, family, and freedom, Gates specially aims to reach young Americans with the timeless conservative values that lead to human flourishing, calling every one of them to build this thriving version of America rather than participate in the trend of disenchanted destruction. Gates also spreads this message as a contributor for the Blaze News and the Daily Wire. 

Prior to dedicating his time to advocating for conservative principles and culture, Gates led a successful career in finance which included serving as one of the youngest vice presidents at Raymond James Financial.

Gates sits on a number of boards and occupies leadership positions for organizations involved in private equity, philanthropy, education, and public policy. He earned his Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation from the Investment Management Consultant Association at the Wharton School of Business, the University of Pennsylvania, and his Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) designation from the Investments and Wealth Institute at the Booth School of Business, the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in media studies from The Catholic University of America — where he held the position of captain of the football team — and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida. He resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife and four children. Gates and his wife strive to lead a life guided by their Catholic faith and they are actively involved in their church. Ultimately, though, he’s just a regular guy who enjoys reading, exercising, bourbon and cigars.
