The Leadership Institute’s (LI) mission is to increase the number and effectiveness of conservative activists and leaders in the public policy process. The Institute identifies, recruits, trains, and places conservatives in government, politics, and the media.
ABOUT | Candidate Development Bootcamp
LI’s Candidate Development School is a two-day, intensive training designed to prepare candidates to win. Participants leave with a clear campaign roadmap, tested tactics, and the confidence to run a disciplined, professional operation.
What candidates will learn:
- How to build a winning campaign plan, timeline, and budget
- Message development: defining your why, sharpening your contrast, and staying on theme
- Fundraising fundamentals, including call time strategy, donor targeting, and goal-setting
- Voter targeting and field strategy: identifying supporters and building a turnout plan
- Digital basics: email, social media, and online fundraising to amplify your message
- Communications and media training, including interviews, press relationships, and rapid response
- Team-building and campaign structure: roles, staffing, volunteers, and accountability
- Avoiding common campaign mistakes and executing with discipline through Election Day
