Zach Greenberg - Faculty Legal Defense/Student Association Counsel
Zach Greenberg is a Senior Program Officer in the Individual Rights Defense Program at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), a national nonprofit dedicated to defending and sustaining individual rights, including freedom of speech and association, on college campuses and beyond. At FIRE, he directs work defending public college and university faculty and student organizations facing free speech and related rights issues, and he regularly speaks to students, faculty, administrators, and attorneys nationwide about First Amendment freedoms. Zach developed his commitment to free speech advocacy as a student leader—serving as President of the College Libertarians and President of the Federalist Society while in school—and he earned his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law after completing undergraduate studies at Binghamton University. Outside of his work at FIRE, he serves on the board of the First Amendment Lawyers Association and the Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance and enjoys ultimate frisbee, board and card games, and life in Philadelphia.
