Scott Rausch -  Former Guest Speaker at the Leadership Institute

Scott Rausch is the Deputy Chief of Staff & Legislative Director for Republican Congressman Andrew Garbarino, of New York’s 2nd District.  There, he is the Congressman’s number-two political advisor and works to develop the Congressman’s policy positions and legislative initiatives.  Scott also manages Congressman Garbarino’s legislative staff.

Prior to this position, Scott was a Presidential Appointee as Deputy Director of Congressional Relations for the Peace Corps.  He is the former Legislative Director to Congressman Alex Mooney, and he spent the 2016 election cycle with the National Rifle Association as a State Legislative Liaison.

Before moving to the DC area, Scott served for 10 years with the Wisconsin State Legislature, reaching the position of Chief of Staff to State Senator Paul Farrow.  In his 10-years with the State of Wisconsin, Scott served in various positions with the State Assembly and State Senate.  Scott began his career in politics as a District Staff Member to Congressman Paul Ryan.
