Ernesto Diaz is The Deputy Director of Grassroots for The Leadership Institute. He is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in political campaign management, legislative analysis, and relationship building. Though most of his career has been running campaigns across the country, he has also spent time lobbying at the Texas Capitol.

 

During his time running campaigns, he showcased his strategic acumen by developing and executing operational strategies to ensure campaign success. He was responsible for researching avenues for community outreach, creating efficient canvassing strategies, and advising the candidate on voter relations topics. Ernesto's expertise in training new hires, grassroots planning, and cultivating relationships with political contacts and voters made him instrumental in the accomplishments of many campaigns. During his tenure as a Regional Director for the George P. Bush Campaign in South Texas, Ernesto excelled in boosting long-term campaign success and increasing voter turnout. He oversaw day-to-day regional operations and built strong professional relationships with political contacts and voters, through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

 

As a Legislative Analyst with BresnenAssociates during the 88th legislative session in Austin, Texas, Ernesto played a crucial role in drafting and analyzing legislation related to family law issues. His recommendations to TFLA leadership, and efforts in liaising with elected officials and their staff, helped garner support for TFLA positions. He has conducted thorough research and analysis of legislation and regulations impacting the industry, providing valuable insights and policy recommendations to senior leadership.
