Brian McNeill -  Former Guest Speaker at the Leadership Institute

Brian McNeill is currently a vice president at Edelman, the world's largest independent public relations firm.
 
Previously, rom 2000 to 2005, Brian served as vice president at the Jackson-Alvarez group, a national political consulting firm specializing in campaign research, serving such political campaigns as Mel Martinez (FL, U.S. Senate), Haley Barbour (MS, Governor), and Scott Garrett (NJ, U.S. House). During the 2000 election cycle, he served as deputy research director for Steve Forbes’s presidential campaign, and onsite research director for Rudolph Giuliani’s U.S. Senate campaign. Brian first became involved in national politics as a field research analyst for the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee (NRCC) during the 1998 election cycle.

From April 2007 to July 2007, Brian served as director of opposition research for Senator John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign, where he helped manage the onsite and field research operations, coordinating background, candidate, and issues research, while helping develop the framework for daily and long-term communications strategy.

Brian grew up in Secaucus, NJ, and now resides in Arlington, Virginia. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Boston College, and a Juris Doctor degree from the George Mason University School of Law.
