Lance Wheeler
Lance Wheeler is the Director of Federal Legislation at the National Pro-Life Alliance. He was formerly the Executive Director for the Conservative Leadership PAC located in Arlington, Virginia. CLPAC’s mission is to identify young conservative leaders and place them as youth coordinators on hotly contested conservative campaigns. Lance was placed on U.S Senator Rand Paul’s 2010 campaign in Kentucky as the State Youth Coordinator.
Raised in West Virginia, Lance started his political career as a volunteer for many local conservative campaigns.
Lance moved to Lexington, Kentucky to attend the University of Kentucky as an Economics major. In his first year he was the Vice-President of UK Students for Liberty and later was named President.
Lance was active hosting events and campus protests where he lead and spoke at the Smoking Ban Protest and Tea Party protest on the University of Kentucky’s campus. He gained media attention where his events were coved by Kentucky media and “TIME” Magazine.
He was the Recruitment Chairman for Kentucky Young Republicans and also started a state wide TARS Organization in Kentucky. Lance was the State Youth Coordinator and District Coordinator for Rand Paul for U.S Senate in Kentucky. As State Youth Coordinator, he recruited and mobilized hundreds of young volunteers to help elect Sen. Rand Paul to office.
After working on the Rand Paul’s campaign he moved to Arlington to work for the Leadership Institute where he was a Regional Field Coordinator. He was responsible for starting and assisting conservative students groups in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Kentucky.
