What you will learn

Leadership Institute's Digital Download weekly training series teaches digital technology being used to shape America's electoral system.

Every Tuesday, this training series completes a "deep dive" into new digital technology and effective strategies about how to support your online activism and political efforts.

Become a digitally savvy activist and gain in depth knowledge of a variety of key topics in the digital field. With a mix of speaker presentations and panels, you will learn from center-right digital professionals how to best optimize your digital footprint.

December 1: Becoming a YouTube Creator

YouTube is the second most popular social media site in the world. Learn how to use the power of video to speak with and engage directly with your audience.

This training will focus on how to make a YouTube channel, the components of great video, and how to catch your target audience's attention and persuade them to subscribe to your content. You'll learn:

  • the backend of YouTube and how the platform operates;

  • the essentials behind a consistent YouTube strategy including annotations, call-to-actions, and keywords; and

  • video attraction techniques (titles, thumbnails, etc.) that engage your audience before they even click on your video.

The training ends at 1pm Eastern / Washington D.C. time.
