Activism Workshop

20 days until event begins

What you will learn

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.” Dr. Seuss

The Activism Workshop teaches you how to build and mobilize a grassroots organization, as well as engage government officials and stakeholders on issues.
You will learn how to craft a media outreach strategy and tactics for successful grassroots lobbying. Additional on-demand content, which complements this material, is available to program enrollees.

Ideal attendees for the Activism Workshop are concerned individuals who want to make an impact on public policy.

Attendees will learn how to:
• Develop a strategic plan
• Set expectations
• Build coalitions and manage stakeholders
• Communicate with moderates and liberals
• Organize at municipal and state levels

The Leadership Institute is excited to bring this Activism Workshop to the American Priority Conference at the Trump National Doral resort.

American Priority founded in 2018, is an event hosted by ALX Inc dba American First Events.

This is the second annual festival and conference for
American Priority. The 2019 theme is:

Free Speech, Free Association, and American Culture

American Priority's conference speakers will support free speech, free association, and American culture. American Priority plans for this festival and conference to be educational, memorable, and fun. They are making conferences great again!

Along with the training track (Activism Workshop) presented by the Leadership Institute, and the mainstage speakers, American Priority is planning several charitable fundraisers including a golf tournament, a silent auction, and a Texas hold'em tournament. A Yacht Party in Miami Port, a fashion show at the pool, surprise musical guests, and many other special events will round out the festival

Festival and conference registration levels range from $250 for general admission access to the LI training and conference mainstage presentations to $2,500 for VIP all-access festival and conference passes.

Dena Espenscheid

Director of Grassroots Coalitions, Leadership Institute

Getting struck by lightning will not give you the superpowers needed to be a political mastermind who can take over the world. Dena Espenscheid knows this from first-hand experience. The shock did make her heart pound like watching voting returns, but more effort than just excess electrons is need to win on Election Night.

What will make you a political mastermind? Dena has been learning the answers to this question for more than 20 years.

During the quest for knowledge, she held a variety of positions in public policy organizations, advertising agencies, and political campaigns including, Coalition for a Strong America, National Ballot Access, American Majority, Open and Clean Government, Vote Yes for Life, and the National Abstinence Clearinghouse. Much of her work has been focused on grassroots organizing, and training volunteers and fellow staffers.

Immediately prior to joining the Leadership Institute, Dena was the Field Director for Donald J Trump for President in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. As such, she oversaw ballot qualification, volunteer recruitment and training, and get out the vote efforts during the primaries. Then-candidate Trump won three of the four primary contests and had a better-than-expected showing in DC.

Dena graduated from Thomas More College in Northern Kentucky with degrees in Biology and Speech Communication. Dena serves the Leadership Institute as the Director of Grassroots Coalitions, where she travels the country training conservatives to be political masterminds. When she is home from LI training trips, she lives in Quantico, Virginia with her houseplants.
