Neri Ann Martinez Bio

Neri Martinez is the Executive Director of the Republican State Leadership Committee’s Future Majority Project, which has recruited hundreds of new women and minority candidates and spent over $20 million to elect almost 100 new diverse candidates and over 500 new women to office in all 50 states. FMP has also hosted 10 “Diversity in Business” Roundtables in 6 states with small business owners and Republican state-level leadership. She previously served as Hispanic Outreach Director in North Carolina for the Republican National Committee in 2012 where she was credited for significantly increasing the Hispanic voter share in the RNC’s only swing state win. She worked in government affairs for the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., served on its Diversity Committee and was President of The Free Cuba Foundation. Prior to her political career, she had a background in business development and advocacy. 

Neri Martinez is the founder and President of Maven Strategies. With over 10 years of experience in both at the state and federal level, Neri Martinez has developed the skills necessary to identify underdeveloped markets and make the case for innovative strategies that enhance the R.O.I. of any organization’s overall mission and goals. A noted public speaker and advocate for increasing diversity efforts and women’s political engagement, Neri has been a trainer, panelist, moderator, and keynote speaker in over 50 industry-related panels across 14 states nationwide and Puerto Rico related to recruitment and running for office, the changing U.S. demographics and how to capture this emerging audience, and women’s political empowerment. Highly regarded for her cultural competency and deep relationships with all diverse communities, she is intricately engaged on overall multicultural political strategy and candidate recruitment in over 40 states including the desert SW, Pacific NW, IL, FL, PA, KY, MI, MO, MN, and NC. 

Neri is an alumna of various international fellow programs on policy, politics and diplomacy including: the Embassy of Spain and Fundacion Carolina’s “Hispanic Leaders” program in 2015, Christians United for Isreal, Israel Collective delegation in 2016, The American Jewish Committee’s “Latino Lideres” program in 2017, a former delegate of the 2017-2018 Australian American Young Leaders Dialogue and a “Latinos and Society” Aspen Institute Scholar for the Aspen Ideas Festival in 2018. She’s attended Aspen Socrates Seminars on “US – Mexico Relations” in Puebla, Mexico in 2017 and “US, Israel, and the Middle East” with Ambassador Dennis Ross in Aspen, CO in 2018. She currently scheduled to join a delegation with the American Council of Young Political Leaders and the American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network for April 2019. Previously, she was awarded the RNC’s “Susan B. Anthony” Award, named a “40 under 40” Maverick PAC leader and recognized by Latino Leaders magazine in “Washington DC Emerging Leaders.”

Neri Martinez serves on the Board of Directors of RightNow Women PAC, is a DC Chapter leader of the Florida International University (FIU) Alumni organization, an active board member of the Hispanic Lobbyists Association, The Millennial Action Council, the DC Young Republicans, DC GOP, Maverick PAC, Running Start, The Advisory Board to the US Senate Republican Task Force on Hispanic Affairs and Vital Voices Young Leaders Council. Neri Martinez is fluent in English, Spanish and French. She received her BBA from Florida International University in International Business Honors and Political Science and is pursuing a Global Masters of Arts at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, class of 2019. She enjoys cooking and hosting dinner parties, collects art, and founded a DC Women’s Cigar Social Club.
