Monika Konrad -  Former Guest Speaker at the Leadership Institute

Monika Konrad is the Leadership Institute's Regional Field Coordinator for Michigan and Wisconsin, where she manages over 100 student groups. She engages with conservative, libertarian, pro-life, and pro-Israel minded students in planning and organizing events both in-person and virtually, hosting local activism trainings, and recruiting students on their respective campuses to make a positive difference long-term.

During her time at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, she interned with several congressional campaigns, the Republican National Committee, and with former Ambassador Nikki R. Haley at the United States Mission to the United Nations. Following graduation, she taught English in Japan and then worked for the non-profit organization Turning Point USA as a Field Representative in the Motor Territory (Eastern Michigan). Through her work, she was able to recruit students to host events, participate in campus activism, and start conservative coalitions on campuses to promote conservative and libertarian beliefs. After taking time away from the non-profit side of politics, she worked as the campaign manager for a congressional race in Michigan's 13th Congressional District. Her time working in grassroots activism led to her new position as the Regional Field Coordinator for LI, and she has loved working with the students in her region ever since!
