David Reade is a veteran of nearly 40 years in American politics. He has been a consultant and strategist to more than a hundred successful candidate and issue campaigns at the national, state and local levels. Reade is the founder and principal of the political consulting firm, Public Square Partners, LLC.

A graduate of California State University, Reade began his career as a conservative student volunteer on the Reagan-Bush re-election campaign in 1984. He worked in the office of California’s Republican Governor and as an aide to the Assembly Republican Leader. Reade has served as Chief of Staff for three different California Legislators over 25 years.

A lifelong conservative, Reade has served as an elected Republican county chairman and state delegate. For the past four years, he served as a member of the Executive and Rules Committees of the California Republican Party. In 2020, Reade was selected as a Trump delegate to the Republican National Convention.

In 2003, David Reade served as Political Director for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s successful campaign for governor during the extraordinary California recall election. Reade also served as senior advisor and strategist to numerous congressional and state legislative candidates.

David Reade’s experience in American presidential campaigns includes serving as California Coordinator for the 2004 Bush/Cheney reelection campaign, and California Political Director and Finance Co-Chair for Marco Rubio’s 2016 presidential primary campaign. In 2020, Reade served as Trump Victory Finance Committee Co-Chair in California, helping to raise millions of dollars for President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign.

Reade also served as a Director for California Trailblazers, a legislative candidate recruiting and training program for Republicans.

Reade has been recognized by the American Association of Political Consultants with eight of its prestigious Pollie Awards, most recently receiving Gold and Silver Awards for Radio Advertising.

David and his wife Suzanne reside in Austin, Texas, and have two adult children.
