Amy Lunde Cleary -  Volunteer Faculty at the Leadership Institute

Amy Lunde has worked in local, state and national politics for more than 15 years, touching more than 50 races across 40 states. She recently joined GA Group, a North Dakota lobbying firm, as Director of Public Affairs. In 2018, Lunde served as general consultant to two winning Wisconsin Congressional campaigns and as a Regional Political Director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee in IN, OH, and WI.

In 2016, Lunde managed Greg Gianforte’s gubernatorial campaign in Montana. During the 2013-2014 cycle, she served as Deputy Political Director for the Republican Governors Association, managing independent expenditure campaigns in 27 states totaling over $140 million. Those campaigns helped elect four new Republican Governors and the largest net gain in gubernatorial seats since 1998.

In 2012, Lunde managed Governor Jack Dalrymple’s successful campaign in North Dakota. Prior to that, she spent 8 years working on both state and judicial campaigns in Wisconsin and North Dakota, including two successful campaigns for Annette Ziegler and Michael Gableman for the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Bush-Cheney ’04 campaign.

When not working specifically for political candidates, Lunde has executed policy and grasstops advocacy projects for corporate clients across the Midwest from her public affairs and advocacy firm, Plain Stakes, LLC, which she founded in 2011.

Raised in Arlington, VA, Lunde now resides in Bismarck, ND. She splits her allegiances between the University of Virginia Cavaliers and the University of Wisconsin Badgers.
