Ericka Andersen is the Digital Media Manager at The Heritage Foundation, where Ericka is in charge of numerous new media sites at Heritage, and also contributes to Heritage's blog.
Previously, Ericka worked primarily in the field of political communications and online media at the Washington Examiner, Human Events newspaper, Culture11.com and the House Republican Conference. These positions provided her the opportunity to interview politicians, participate in press conferences and hearings on Capitol Hill, report daily on national news, write feature articles, participate in forums, and be a guest on national radio and television programs to represent her respective companies.
Formerly, Ericka was the Communications Director for Representative Todd Rokita (IN-4). This position included communications strategy, speech writing, press coordination and media prep.
She has also served as the Director of Online Media Outreach for the House Republican Conference, under Congressman Mike Pence (IN). There, Ericka specialized in blogger relations as a resource to national and local bloggers and online personalities. She operated the new media aspects of the House Republican Conference, including blogging, Twitter, and Facebook. Ericka consulted regularly with GOP Congressional offices.
