Laura Rigas -  Volunteer Faculty at the Leadership Institute

Laura Keehner Rigas is the Deputy Chief of Staff for Partnerships at the Corporation for National and Community Service. Most recently she served at the U.S. Department of the Interior where she was the Communications Director. She has almost 20 years of experience leading executive management, public affairs, and communications teams at the state and federal government levels, non-profits, and the private sector.

During her federal career, Laura has also served at the White House, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. Department of Education. While in Massachusetts, she was the Communications Director for the Massachusetts Secretary of Education. She has also held senior leadership roles at Wise Public Affairs, the American Conservative Union, and the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research.

A California native, Laura earned her bachelor’s degree in public policy from the College of William & Mary, and her Master’s degree in public administration at the Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
