About This Video
You can't beat somebody with nobody - that's why it's so important to recruit an army of volunteers to help your candidate, campaign, or cause. In this engaging webinar, you’ll learn how to identify the three types of volunteers you will encounter, create goals and motivate your volunteers, and maintain an environment that keeps volunteers coming back again and again.
Matthew Hurtt is the Outreach Manager for Terra Eclipse, a web design company for right-of-center clients, and UnitedLiberty.org. Prior to joining TE/UL, Hurtt wrote and designed direct mail fundraising appeals for more than three years with Response America, a fundraising firm that has raised millions of dollars for conservative candidates.
In 2010, Hurtt managed a state senate campaign in Maryland. He got his start in national conservative politics in 2009 when he joined the Leadership Institute as a Regional Field Coordinator. In that capacity, he molded conservative and libertarian college students into effective activists. He also helped launch CampusReform.org.
Hurtt was very active in local politics in his hometown of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and ran for local office at the age of 19. He was an outspoken conservative on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University, where he hosted a talk radio show and contributed to the school's newspaper.
Matthew Hurtt is Chairman of the Arlington Falls Church Young Republicans, the largest YR group in Virginia, and served as a Mitt Romney-bound, Ron Paul-supporting delegate to the Republican National Convention in Tampa in 2012. Additionally, he staffs Virginia's Republican National Committeeman -- Morton Blackwell -- at quarterly meetings of the RNC.
